The purpose of these Terms and Conditions is to define the terms and conditions under which the services of www.international-horizons.com, hereinafter referred to as “the Services”, are made available and the conditions under which the User may use the Service. Any access to and/or use of the www.international-horizons.com website implies acceptance of and compliance with all the terms of these Conditions and their unconditional acceptance. They therefore constitute a contract between International Horizons and the User. If the User does not wish to accept all or part of these terms and conditions, he/she is requested to refrain from using the Service.

Personal data

By accepting these conditions, the User authorizes International Horizons to communicate his/her data to its partners and to receive information from them. With a view to respecting the privacy of its Users, International Horizons undertakes to ensure that the collection and processing of personal information, carried out within the present site, is carried out in accordance with the French law number 78-17 of January 6, 1978 relating to data processing, data files and individual liberties, known as the “Data Processing and Individual Liberties” Law. In accordance with article 34 of the French Data Protection Act, International Horizons guarantees the User the right to oppose, access and rectify any personal data concerning him or her. International Horizons services

The service company International Horizons is an approved training center (Number: ) that enables individuals to take part in training courses abroad:

  • Internship abroad: an internship tailored to the young person’s initial training, expectations and language level, and in line with the targeted learning outcomes.
  • Host family: as part of their training, students can stay with host families in MALTA – BERLIN (GERMANY) – CARTHAGEN (SPAIN) – THESSALONIKI (GREECE) – PORTO (PORTUGAL).
  • Youth hostels: this service is only available to groups run by high schools / colleges / universities etc.

Registration constitutes a contract and commits the subscriber to accept HI’s pricing conditions. The User is informed that the aforementioned Services are subject to constant change. International Horizons is obliged to inform individuals who have subscribed to HI services of any changes in the pricing conditions after completing the online registration. Changes in prices and services will be proposed to the student by sending an e-mail stipulating all changes. To accept them, the subscriber must send an acceptance e-mail. If he/she refuses, International Horizons will no longer consider the student as a participant in our internship search program and will no longer receive e-mails from us. In all other cases and for all other modifications, it is the responsibility of the registrant to verify that the services and pricing conditions have not changed prior to registration. He/she should therefore check the website and the general conditions of use of the services on the contract that will be sent to him/her. By agreeing to subscribe to International Horizons services, you consent to us contacting you during your course for follow-up, and afterwards to provide us – on a voluntary basis – with a testimonial.

Conditions of purchase

Article 1 : PRICES

Prices are indicated on our site in euros, all taxes included. In the event of an order to a country other than mainland France, customs duties or other local taxes (local VAT, customs tax, import duties, etc.) may be payable. You are solely responsible for any such duties, both in terms of declaration and payment to the relevant authorities. All orders, whatever their origin, are invoiced and payable in euros only.

Article 2 : PAYMENT

Payment for purchases is made by credit card. International Horizons does not accept cheques. No post-payment refunds except in cases of force majeure: death, illness requiring bed rest in the country of departure.

Article 3 : DELIVERY

Internship abroad: the internship agreement is sent directly after payment. Search for a host family: contacts are sent before the student’s departure for an internship abroad, and after payment.

Article 4 : SERVICE

  • Interview with the company
  • The company commits itself in writing to the tasks entrusted during the internship.
  • We have the internship agreement signed electronically

International Horizons cannot be held responsible for :

  • In the event of dismissal from the internship due to inappropriate behavior, a lower than expected level of language proficiency or any other reason(s) that prevent(s) the user from carrying out the tasks assigned by the company.
  • The user must send the internship agreement within 15 days, with a copy to International Horizons: if this deadline is exceeded, or if the user has not sent a copy to International Horizons, International Horizons will not be required to sign the final internship agreement.

Host family search: International Horizons offers a price before the search. Payment takes place before the family search. The rate may vary according to the accommodation options chosen by the user, the size of the city and the country.

Article 5 : PERSONAL OR PRIVATE INFORMATION

Our company treats all information concerning its customers with the strictest confidentiality. When an order is placed, only the information required (surname, first name, address, e-mail) is requested for efficient processing and careful follow-up of the order. The data entered online is stored on a secure server and immediately encrypted. The file containing this information has been declared to the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés.

 

In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, you have the right to access, oppose and rectify data concerning you, which you may exercise by writing to the following address: hello(at)international-horizons.com.

Pursuant to the provisions of article L 121-34 of the French Consumer Code, we hereby inform you that, should we be required to ask you to provide us with your telephone details in the context of relations with our after-sales service in particular, the law offers you the possibility of registering on a list of opposition to telephone canvassing.

Article 6: DISPUTES – LAW APPLICABLE TO CUSTOMER RELATIONS

Our sales are governed exclusively by French law. The competent court is the Tribunal de Commerce de Lorient.

Article 7 : CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE

By making a payment, you accept the general terms and conditions of sale and your registration with the INTERNATIONAL HORIZONS training center.

ARTICLE 8: WITHDRAWAL PERIOD

Each participant has, in accordance with the provisions of article L121-21 of the French Consumer Code, a period of fourteen clear days to exercise his/her right of withdrawal without having to justify his/her reasons or pay any penalties. However, the participant declares that he/she waives the aforementioned deadline, and that acceptance of the International Horizons service to which the participant subscribes will then be implemented immediately (application(s) processed, interview(s) arranged, etc.). Services are non-refundable once the service has begun – except in cases of force majeure (death of the user or illness requiring bed rest) Accommodation search service Each participant has, in accordance with the provisions of article L121-21 of the French Consumer Code, a period of fourteen clear days to exercise his/her right of withdrawal without having to justify his/her reasons or pay any penalties.
