How long does it take to find an internship abroad? We recognize you there, little fifrelin, always impatient to leave for an internship, you! You should know that it is very variable, and that there are several parameters to be taken into account in our tailor-made search for an internship abroad. What are they? What are they? What are they? The team tells you everything about everything.

1° The destination
Whether you are looking for an internship in Malta, an internship in South Korea or an internship in Mexico, the timeframes vary greatly for a cultural issue. Southern Europe, in general, is quite fast, as they process a LOT of internship requests, and are used to it. For an internship in Asia, it is much more complicated: there is no notion of “internship” in South Korea. So you have to explain it to them first. In South America, the deadlines are also a bit longer: the local culture makes you take more time to do things. That’s the way it is!

2° The duration of your internship
Again, it all depends on your research. The duration of the internship is not the same according to your level of study: BTS internships are generally short (2 months), and companies don’t take “too many” risks in taking someone on. For a 6-month internship, Bachelor’s, Master’s or engineering school, the deadlines are longer: it’s normal, the company will take an intern to accompany them for half the year!

3° Your sector of activity
If you are a meteorological engineer, or if you are doing a Bachelor’s degree in Eco-Tourism, or a BTS in International Trade, the deadlines are different. Some sectors are very specific, such as photonics, or radioprotection, and some countries have few companies that correspond to them. For example, there are only 2 companies in radiation protection in Italy, and many more in the United Kingdom. But don’t panic, we always propose several research destinations to overcome this problem?

So, to sum up: it’s better to go for it…

Very early for Asia (besides the recruitment delays, you will have a visa to do – Hello visa) – Let’s say 6 months to be sure.
In advance for South America & Africa (cuckoo visa) – say 4 months.
In Europe: no visa problems, so you can contact us whenever you want. Nevertheless, the sooner the better, the better, and then you can take care of your accommodation!
Is it ok? Are you on time? All you have to do is contact us with your CV! GO!
