Do you love lazing around and soaking up the sun? Do your internship in Southern Europe! Let me take you on a tour d’horizons ((international) puns please.) of our favorite destinations for your internship abroad in Europe, in a country where la dolce vita is the order of the day!

Internship in Southern Europe: Italy

How could we not start with the standard-bearer of the dolce vita? Italy needs no introduction. A land of contrasts, where every region is worth a visit. I can only recommend that you take advantage of your weekends to hop on a train and explore the regions of the boot! If you’d like an opinion on one of them, read Sébastouille la fripouille’s return to Puglia (Check out this new pun, I ate a clown this morning!). He won’t really approve of the nickname, but it’s MY blog post!

Roma

The eternal city and the only commune twinned with Paris! “Only Paris is worthy of Rome, only Rome is worthy of Paris” Did you know that? This symbolic Twinning was signed in a pact in 1956 that bears the famous slogan. Well, you didn’t come for a history lesson, but you know me, I’m not synthetic and I’m a pro at digressions. So, Rome! Let’s get back to business. A city marked by its past, every street corner exudes history, from the ancient ruins to the irresistible charm of the cobbled streets. Any internship opportunity is possible! Hungry for something to eat after your internship? Have your best libellu… no, a good margherita, with an ice cream like you won’t find anywhere else.

My pro tip: seek out the trattoria and fill your belly with dishes, each one better than the next. But above all, take the time to visit! From the romantic gardens of Villa Borghese to charming neighborhoods like Trastevere, there’s so much to discover!

Venice

Another banger, another atmosphere: Welcome to Venice, the city of lovers and endless dreams! Here, water flows not only through the canals, but also through the soul of the city. Start your training day by crossing the centuries-old bridges, greeted by the rustle of water against the palace facades. Venice is much more than a city, it’s an experience unlike any other in the world. An atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else. Become a Venetian for the duration of your internship in Europe and live to the rhythm of the artistic city and the tides. At the end of the day, let yourself be carried away by the city! Explore the secret alleys where every corner seems to hide a story, savor cicchetti in picturesque bacari. You don’t know what that is, do you? Well, there’s only one way to find out: go for your internship in Venice!

Milan

Capital of fashion and economy! Doing an internship in Milan means zero fun. The city is sprawling and vibrant. It’s not about sorting lenses, it’s about Milan. Imagine yourself strolling the chic streets of Milan, where every corner seems to be a catwalk (well, I’m exaggerating, but we never know each other in excess).

After the course, immerse yourself in Milan’s vibrant nightlife. From aperitivos to trendy parties, Milan offers a diversity to suit all tastes. Neighborhoods like Brera and Navigli will become your playgrounds, where art, delicious food and music merge to create an unforgettable atmosphere.

At weekends, get lost in the city and browse the trendy boutiques of avant garde fashion, returning home with the piece that will make you a true Milanese fashionista. Cristina Córdula has a lot to live up to, my dear.

Internship in Southern Europe: Portugal

Portugal! Now that’s a guarantee for an internship in the sun! You won’t be eating flans, but pasteis de nata, if you’ve got the ref, you’re a maxi bg, if you haven’t, well there you go. Enough jokes, Portugal is all about warm weather and authentic people, sipping a glass of port wine in Porto, strolling through the colorful streets of Lisbon, or feeling the sea breeze in Faro. Okay, I’m getting carried away. An underrated country, I seriously advise you to consider it in your options for your internship abroad.

Porto

The city of wine and coastal charm! The cobbled streets, a feast for the eyes less so for your stilettos, the Porto wine cellars on the banks of the Douro or the historic buildings that adorn the city all bear witness to its history. You can already see yourself doing your internship during the day, then enjoying a delicious Francesinha in a local tavern in the evening. Porto offers a unique professional experience while allowing you to savor the Portuguese way of life. Grab your best shoes and head off to discover Porto’s wine cellars on the banks of the Douro, where wine ages in wooden casks, acquiring a distinctive flavor. And of course, don’t miss a cruise to admire the picturesque landscapes surrounding the city.

Lisbon

Welcome to Lisbon, the city of seven hills and a thousand faces! De São Jorge, d’Estrela, Santa Catarina, São Pedro de Alcântara, Graça, Senhora do Monte, Penha de França Get your sneakers and cardio ready, it’s uphill! Stroll through the Alfama, Lisbon’s historic district, and discover the colorful azulejos and walls covered in street art. Lisbon has a vibrant art scene that’s sure to feed your creativity. After your internship, check out central neighborhoods (guess they’re cobblestone) like Bairro Alto, where lively bars and nightlife parties will give you a taste of Lisbon’s vibrant nightlife.

Faro

The sea, the Algarve, that’s where the sun hits! You can’t get any further south than that! History and nature at your fingertips! The immediate proximity of the golden beaches that line the coast… what more could you ask for? What are you waiting for? After your internship, let yourself be seduced by Faro’s relaxed atmosphere. Explore the narrow streets of the Cidade Velha district, discovering picturesque cafés and lively squares.

Spain’s lively streets, festive traditions and sunny beaches… Imagine yourself enjoying tapas, dancing to the rhythm of flamenco, or soaking up the sun on the beaches. Fasten your seatbelt, because this Spanish adventure could be the internship of your dreams!

Cartagena

Our favorite: a Mediterranean gem steeped in history and charm! Imagine your internship in this Spanish port city, where every street exudes maritime history and Mediterranean culture.
