Your internship, is it what you expected?
Yes, and even more than I could have hoped for. I’m taking care of everything we discussed before the internship started and I’m learning more every day. In addition to having an enriching internship, I am surrounded by a young, dynamic but above all great team. Despite the language barrier, we hit it off right away. There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t have fun working with the people around me.
What did you like about your new country?
I knew very little about Spanish culture before I arrived. Living in Spain allows me to get to know the culture and traditions by discovering them with my friends but also with my colleagues. It’s not all about naps and tapas. The culture is much richer than you might think. Every day, I taste new flavours, learn Madrid vocabulary or participate in Spanish traditions. And I think that’s what I enjoy the most: living Madrid with people from Madrid.
And if you had to do it all over again, would you go back through International Horizons? Why would you do that? Why would I do that? Por qué? Perché?
I would do it 100 times if I could! In addition to taking the stress out of looking for an internship, I was able to access a world that seemed inaccessible to me from abroad. I have already recommended International Horizons several times and will continue to do so!
